About Les Enfants Rouges

The ambiance at Les Enfants Rouges carries a subtle intimacy that quietly enhances the dining experience without overwhelming conversation. Warm lighting and minimalist décor hint at contemporary design sensibilities, mixing with the natural hum of Parisian chatter. Glimpses of the open kitchen afford diners a voyeuristic peek into culinary craftsmanship. While the pace of service occasionally leans toward leisurely, it complements rather than disrupts the unhurried rhythm of the evening, allowing moments to savor each intricate plate presented.

Among the standout elements of the Les Enfants Rouges menu is an artful balance between innovation and tradition where flavors are layered with precision. One dish in particular, a slow-cooked lamb adorned with seasonal vegetables, embodies this approach—rich, tender, and paired thoughtfully with a nuanced sauce that refrains from overpowering. The wine selection echoes this careful curation, aligning selections with each course to elevate the overall palate journey. For diners exploring Les Enfants Rouges through various photos and past reviews, the visual narrative aligns well with the food’s refined yet approachable presentation.

It is worth noting that, while pricing positions the restaurant on the upper end of the modern French dining spectrum, the experience aligns closely with the expectations set by discerning patrons. The combination of meticulous plate composition and measured service pace may not suit those seeking a rapid meal but rewards those who appreciate dining as a deliberate, sensory occasion. Occasional fluctuations in attentiveness hint at room for consistency, balancing the generally positive impressions reported in several reviews. This setting, paired with thoughtful cooking, secures Les Enfants Rouges a place worth watching in a competitive Parisian scene.

A friend who lives in Paris introduced the restaurant to us few years back. Since then, it becomes a go-to place whenever we’re in Paris, this is our 5th time last night. Consistency of food quality is the key reason why we keep come back again. Service is welcoming and not too much. Seasoning of food is brilliant, we can taste each ingredient on the plate, and the food temperature is so well controlled. The artisan level of plating also make me wonder why they aren’t Michelin yet! Highly recommended! :-)

Delicious adult food - Japanese/French. Great with kids. Kids menu was fancy breaded chicken with fries - excellent. Litchi dessert was OUT. OF. THIS. WORLD. Very small space off of a main street so not much of an atmosphere.

Les Enfants Rouges is a casual, cozy and lively restaurant with everyone comfortably seated in a way that really maximizes the space. The menu is set and everyone at the table gets a starter, main and dessert. The menu is simple but each dish is absolutely incredible. I would strongly recommend having everyone at the table order something different so you can try as many items as possible!

A sublime experience. The perfect blend of Japanese and French cooking. The meals were balanced perfectly, both in taste and textures, and were extremely beautiful to behold. Their care was second to none! Thank you to the team at Les Enfats Rouges. The lichi dessert was one of the most enjoyable desserts I've had in a very long time.

Wow. Second time here and was not disappointed. The food is simply fantastic. Very well prepared and the blend of flavors is amazing and a delight to discover. Don't miss out on the San Sebastian cheesecake! The service is also excellent and elevates the whole experience. Must go!

The food at Les Enfants Rouges was absolutely stunning every dish was beautifully crafted and full of flavor. A true testament to the chef’s talent and passion. The wine selection was equally impressive, perfectly curated to complement the menu. The cosy, intimate atmosphere adds to the charm it truly feels like a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of Paris. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable culinary experience!

Absolutely our favourite restaurant in Paris!!! The second we book our flights we are on to reserve our table here! It’s absolutely delicious, the food is the best we’ve tasted- anywhere. A fusion of Asian and French contemporary, amazing flavour combinations and all at a remarkable price, for the standard they serve. The place is always buzzing, such a fantastic atmosphere! You are pretty close to your neighbours and we have met some lovely people here, over the past few years. The staff are an absolute delight! Most of them do speak English and you have an English version of the menu available. I thoroughly recommend a visit to try this amazing place. I would always reserve as it gets so busy, being a very popular destination. Cannot wait to go back next year!!

In a very tiny street, Dai talented chef & his Japanese team run this lovely bistro , serving amazing dishes closer to gastronomical than bistro dishes . Very tasty three set menu, such as “bonite fumée au foin” , a very good dish of “tuna rouge d’Espagne sauce dashi, and vey yummi Japanese Toki whisky baba or rhum baba served with light whipped cream . Make sure you taste as well the Japanese plum alcohol. Very much recommend this discret adress off the Michelin Guide but worth the visit.
